El candidato presidencial por la Alianza Actuemos (listas 8-23), OIo Sonnenholzner, anunció en su visita a Zamora Chinchipe que en su gobierno realizará un censo minero para cumplir con la regularización a mineros artesanales y pequeños mineros.
“A la minería hay que legalizarla y elevar los estándares de calidad para reducir la contaminación. Lo primero es tener un censo claro de qué está pasando, lo segundo es preparar y entrenar a las personas que han hecho minería”, explicó en diálogo con medios de comunicación en compañía de los candidatos por Zamora Chinchipe, Francisco Guamán y Andrea Rodríguez Cueva.
Oto ha sido el único candidato presidencial en visitar Zamora Chinchipe y pronunciarse para dar paso a la regularización minera. “Nosotros tenemos que hacer que la minería sea responsable, para que esas personas que por generaciones han hecho esta actividad, puedan aprender a hacerla mejor o se integren en grupos para que puedan tener mejor tecnología y hacer las cosas bien”, detalló el presidenciable.
