El Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP), a través de los Distritos 19D01 Zamora-Yacuambi, 19D02 Centinela del Cóndor -Nagaraitza -Paquisha y 19D04 El Pangui -Yantzaza, brinda atención oportuna a las personas afectadas por las recientes inundaciones en la provincia de Zamora Chinchipe.
Entre las acciones está la activación de la Mesa Técnica de Trabajo 2 y la atención Pre Hospitalaria para coordinar la respuesta sanitaria, despliegue de los profesionales y entrega de medicamentos.
De manera paralela, el personal de salud mental está proporcionando apoyo fundamental en la contención emocional de las personas afectadas. Brindan contención emocional y primeros auxilios psicológicos, intervenciones terapéuticas breves, prevención de violencia en albergues, actividades grupales y psicoeducativas, entre otros servicios de apoyo psicológico para mejorar el bienestar emocional de la comunidad.
Hasta la fecha, el personal sanitario ha atendido a un total de 237 personas, 90 hombres y 147 mujeres, entre niños, adolescentes, adultos y adultos mayores.
Las intervenciones se han realizado en diversas comunidades de la provincia, incluyendo Chamico, Nambija Alto, Conguimi, Yantzaza, Cumbaratza, Zumbi, entre otros sectores afectados por la emergencia.
El MSP reafirma su compromiso de garantizar la salud y el bienestar de la población afectada.
