La campaña social “Zamora Chinchipe, Sonríe con Ñeke”, ejecutada por la Prefectura, avanza su recorrido por las comunidades de la provincia, en esta oportunidad Palanda se prepara para recibir el servicio a partir del 24 de marzo del 2025.
Se iniciará en la parroquia San Francisco del Vergel. Estas jornadas odontológicas están dirigidas a niños, niñas y jóvenes en las edades comprendidas de 5 a 18 años de edad.
Se ofrece tratamientos de: profilaxis, sellantes, fluorizaciones; tratamientos preventivos y restaurativos. Además, y dependiendo de cómo se encuentran los dientes, se realizan exodoncias.
El cantón Chinchipe, fue el primero del 2025 en desarrollarse la campaña, el equipo de odontólogas recorrió las parroquias Chito, El Chorro, La Chonta, Pucapamba, San Andrés, y la cabecera cantonal de Zumba.
A más de recibir el servicio totalmente gratuito, cada paciente también recibió un kit de higiene bucal. Aquí 720 personas fueron beneficiadas, a través de 1.350 tratamientos ejecutados.
La actual administración liderada por la prefecta Karla Reátegui presta todo el apoyo para que, los proyectos y programas sociales se desarrollen con normalidad y sobre todo se cumplan de acuerdo a la planificación de la institución, con el objetivo de ayudar a solventar las múltiples necesidades económicas que tienen las familias de los sectores rurales.
