La Agencia Nacional de Regulación, Control y Vigilancia Sanitaria (Arcsa), por medio de su Coordinación Zonal 7, verificó la correcta aplicación de la normativa sanitaria en establecimientos que comercializan productos lácteos y sus derivados en las provincias de su jurisdicción: El Oro, Loja y Zamora Chinchipe.
En el marco del Acuerdo Interministerial Nro. 177, el cual busca garantizar la sostenibilidad de la cadena láctea, equipos técnicos de Arcsa realizaron inspecciones en 19 supermercados/comisariatos de estas provincias, para verificar el correcto etiquetado y almacenamiento de lácteos y bebidas lácteas.
El Art. 10 de este documento señala que “las bebidas elaboradas con suero de leche deberán estar ubicadas en lugares distintos a los de la leche, leche fermentada y productos lácteos en el momento de su comercialización”.
Los equipos de Arcsa socializaron la normativa sanitaria con los representantes de los establecimientos con la finalidad de que apliquen lo establecido; y, así evitar confusiones por parte del consumidor al momento de adquirir el producto, debido a que existen diferencias entre un producto elaborado con leche pura de aquellos elaborados a base de suero.
