Habitantes de la cabecera parroquial de Tundayme se beneficiarán del proyecto de adecuación y mejoramiento del sistema de agua potable, que se cristalizará producto de un convenio entre el GAD Municipal de El Pangui y EcuaCorriente S.A. (ECSA), empresa concesionaria de la Mina Mirador.
La compañía minera aportará con USD 90 000 destinados a la repotenciación de la planta de tratamiento de agua potable, lo que permitirá realizar el tratamiento técnico adecuado y garantizar un abastecimiento de manera continua a los usuarios.
Como contraparte del convenio suscrito en días recientes, el GAD Municipal de El Pangui invertirá cerca de USD 100 000 en la nueva captación y línea de aducción, adquisición de insumos químicos, operación y mantenimiento, así como la fiscalización del proyecto.
La parroquia Tundayme, en la actualidad, se encuentra en constante crecimiento y desarrollo, por lo que ECSA contribuye con proyectos encaminados a la optimización de los servicios básicos y así mejorar la calidad de vida de la población.
El propósito de esta articulación interinstitucional es proveer agua permanente y segura a alrededor de 120 familias residentes en la cabecera parroquial, expresó José Cárdenas, Coordinador Senior de Relaciones Comunitarias de ECSA.
Este aporte se enmarca en la política de compromiso social y es parte del Plan de Relaciones Comunitarias de ECSA, como un nuevo beneficio del desarrollo de la minería responsable con el país.
